About CIMZIA

CIMZIA is indicated for reducing signs and symptoms of Crohn's disease and maintaining clinical response in adult patients with moderately to severely active disease who have had an inadequate response to conventional therapy.1

Control over symptoms

In clinical trials, many patients experienced a reduction in stomach pain, diarrhea, and other symptoms.2 These improvements were seen in some patients regardless of how long they had Crohn's disease or what previous therapies they had taken.3

Rapid and long-lasting relief

In clinical trials, approximately 1 out of 2 patients* achieved remission at 6 months;1,3 approximately 8 out of 10 of those patients continued therapy and maintained remission through 18 months.2,4

Dosing tolerability in clinical studies

CIMZIA has a low rate of injection site pain with less than 1% of patients experiencing stinging and burning.3 Allergic reactions in patients taking CIMZIA in clinical trials were rare.1

Serious and sometimes fatal side effects have been reported with CIMZIA. These include tuberculosis (TB), bacterial sepsis, invasive fungal infections (such as histoplasmosis), and infections due to other opportunistic pathogens. Lymphoma and other malignancies also have been reported in children and adolescents. CIMZIA is not indicated for use in pediatric patients.
